Christmas Preparations

We have had a lot of fun this December with all of the Christmas preparations. We kicked off the season by visiting Santa.

Brielle would only shake his hand. Liam hopped right up there and told him everything he wanted.

Next we went and picked out a Christmas tree. We decided to go big.

A little too big...
We swear it wasn't this wide at the Christmas tree farm.
Graham had to trim the bottom, the top and the back. It was so big when we got it in there. Graham and I couldn't stop laughing. It took up half of our living room. It felt like the forest.

I love this picture. Liam loves his Santa costume.

After getting the tree all trimmed we realized most of our light strands didn't work, so I had to go get new ones before we could decorate. We had to use Liam's grabber toy to get lights and decorations on the top of the tree.

Liam chose to put on the Superman ornament first.

Brielle chose a My Little Pony ornament.

We went to several parades around town.

We play Santa and elves almost every day.

Even Liberty has a festive Christmas costume.
We baked gingerbread cookies. Liam made and decorated these all by himself.

We also made our annual gingerbread houses. Mine is the one covered in candy.

I got my hair and makeup done at a salon party. It was fun getting all dolled up.

They can be so loving sometimes.

We went to a Santa party. This is my favorite picture of Liam and Santa.

And FINALLY Brielle sat on Santa's lap. She hopped right up there and told him that she wanted a "Candy Land Book."

So It's a ........

We had our gender reveal/Christmas Party last night. The only person who knew what we were having was Graham. These are some of the party favors we made. They say "He & She" on them.

We had everyone take their best guess and vote for what they thought we were having. The vote was Girl 12 & Boy 11.

Then we cut the cake and saw the frosting in the middle that told us we are having a

BOY!!!!
He is due May 17!

November

Here are some pictures from our November.
The kids like to be wrapped up like burritos.

Brielle will finally let me put her hair in a ponytail for about 20 minutes. She is really into trying to do the splits. I think she learned this from gymnastics.

Liam's funny outfit. It reminds me of the kid from the movie The Christmas Story!

Liam has been really interested in learning about the eye. Here he is with my classroom eye model.

My mom made these really cute Santa hats for the kids. They love to wear them.

Here is my beautiful turkey. It turned out great again this year!

Thanks to Graham for always carving it. I will cook it, but I don't want to cut it.

We had a great Thanksgiving with all of our parents. We had lots of great food and fun!

We are very thankful for them all.

Halloween

We had our annual kid Halloween party.

The kids enjoyed trick or treating at the neighbors houses.

This is Halloween. Liam is Batman, Brielle and I are cats, and dad is Spiderman.

The boys wanted to be superheros this year.

They loved knocking on the doors and getting treats. They could hardly wait to get home and get treats.

They dumped out their candy when they got home. Liam ended up eating around 12 pieces!!!!! We didn't realize it until it was too late!

Luckily Brielle only ate 4 pieces.

They enjoyed handing out candy too.

Daddy took them out again for a second round of trick or treating. Notice the costume change for Liam. Now he is Spiderman like daddy.

Overall we had a great Halloween!

October So Far

Here are the kids dressed up in a Spider Girl and Buzz costume.

We went to the local pumpkin patch and rode horses. Brielle loved it!

We then picked out the perfect pumpkin.

Liam always picks out the smallest pumpkin.

We went to a school harvest festival and played lots of games.

Graham and I went to an adults only Halloween costume party. This is my homemade costume. We made it out of duck tape.

This was Graham's costume. He went as a Mormon missionary.

We had to bring a themed food. So we brought Cake Shots!

The theme was heroes and villains. So you can be the judge on which one is the hero and the villain.
We won the Dynamic Duo award for best couples Halloween costume.

The next day we carved pumpkins.

Liam wanted a spiderman pumpkin.

Brielle decided on a kitty pumpkin.

Brielle decided to paint hers red and purple too.
