Potty Training

We did it! We are finally potty trained! While we were doing it, it felt like we would never finish, but we did. This is a picture of the Potty Prince in his crown.

Basically to potty train Liam we had to do every trick in the book and even make up some of our own. We started off with a Potty Party where he opened up presents: pull ups, flushable wipes, a potty seat, a potty book etc... Everything he would need to go on the potty. We basically went cold turkey and packed up all of his diapers and he wore underwear unless he was sleeping. The first few days he kept having accidents, but after about 4 days he was basically potty trained.

We got the Buzz Light Year Pull Ups as an extra incentive.

Every time he went on the potty he got a sticker for his chart and a treat! He got a pack of gummy snacks. I was afraid he wouldn't go on the potty unless he got a snack, but by the time we ran out of them he was going on the potty and I didn't have to rely on the treat to get him up there.

After we got through the gummy snacks we switched to puzzle pieces. Every time he went on the potty he got a puzzle piece. He didn't know what the puzzle was going to be, so every piece was really exciting.

28 potty times later he had a completed buzz and woody puzzle. He was really proud of it.

Yeah! He finished his first chart of stickers.

As a reward for filling his sticker chart he got a buzz light year jeep and motorcycle I found at a garage sale.

Here he is showing off his new motorcycle. We played with them non stop for a week!

Snowy Day

We woke up to a few inches of snow. Liam was very excited to go out and play.

Daddy went into work late so we could play!

We tried out his new blue sled. He loved having me pull him around the field. It was very tiring.

Liam loved eating the snow. I think that may have been his favorite part.

We played outside for an hour an then went in for some hot chocolate.

Brielle Eating Peas

Brielle is 5 months old. She stated eating rice cereal. Here are pictures of her trying peas. She insists on trying to grab the spoon and getting food all over her hands then rubbing it all over her face. So far she likes sweet potatoes the best.

Brielle and mommy!

Brielle in her Pooh Bear Walker. Liam is pushing her around the house.

She loves having a new toy to play in. So far she just pushes herself backwards.

Valentine's Day

Liam got sick for our kid's Valentine's Day party so I moved the party to the pavilions at the park in front of our house. He hung out in the car while I set everything up. Surprisingly he loves the car. He would play in there for hours if I let him. He enjoyed his heart cookie.

All of the kids decorated boxes and cookies. Then we passed out the Valentine cards. The kids played and had fun. Luckily it was a nice day.

When we got home from the party Liam opened his box of cards from his friends. He loved all of the cards and treats. It definitely made him feel better.

For breakfast I made him special Valentine's Day food. Everything was pink.

We put Valentines in our Family Valentine's day box all week and then opened it on Valentine's Day. Liam loved the idea. He got a few little presents and lots of cards.

Liam and Graham made me this necklace for Valentine's Day!

Birthday Week

As many of you know I like to celebrate my birthday over a week. I turned 28 last week and enjoyed my week long celebration. It started off with our friends the Howards bringing me this beautiful cake they made. As you see, Liam gets very excited for birthdays. Mostly because he wants to eat the cake.

This is a picture of Brielle all dressed up for mommy's birthday. She will be 5 months old next week.

When I woke up on my birthday Graham had the house decorated with cinnamon rolls waiting.
He also made me a pink cake with my favorite candy on it.

That night we went out to dinner at an Italian restuarunt with my parents.

During the week my girlfriends took me out to Olive Garden for a Girl's Night Out Birthday celebration.

On the weekend we had a family party at my inlaws. We enjoyed Joyce's famous ice cream cake. Liam was so excited for my birthday, I can't wait for his birthday in May.

Ice Skating

Liam couldn't wait to go ice skating. He had been pretending to ice skate around the house for days.

First we took him out on the ice and just held his hands.

Next we got a skate trainer for him to hold onto as we pushed him around.

Then we got him a skate trainer that was his size. He loved it! He took off. He didn't want us to hold onto him. He skated for an hour.

Liam loved skating so much that he didn't want to leave. He was the very last person off the ice. He was really sad when he had to give his ice skates back. We will probably end up going a few more times this winter.

Here is a video of Liam ice skating. I couldn't believe how fast he was skating for his first time. He is a natural.
