Liam couldn't wait to go ice skating. He had been pretending to ice skate around the house for days.
First we took him out on the ice and just held his hands.
Next we got a skate trainer for him to hold onto as we pushed him around.
Then we got him a skate trainer that was his size. He loved it! He took off. He didn't want us to hold onto him. He skated for an hour.
Liam loved skating so much that he didn't want to leave. He was the very last person off the ice. He was really sad when he had to give his ice skates back. We will probably end up going a few more times this winter.

this is darling!! I will have to do this with Parker too. Such a fun idea for a family activity. Looks like he really loved it!

ReplyDeleteGood for Liam! Where were you at? We tried the tried the outdoor one at Lithia Park - it's fun to skate outdoors surrounded by huge trees. I took the kids, and it was super fun with Adele but a back-breaking experience to take Samuel (I had to practically hold him up the whole time which meant I was hunched over). So I am glad Liam was able to do it on his own!
